How to forward a domain name to a landing page or website

This post is the first in a new series of short, 5 minute or less, how-to videos.

In past blog posts and training, we have talked about the many different ways you can use custom domain names.

For example, if you click on or type that domain name www.AdrianPetrila.com, you’ll see that you end up at: http://tampa.carringtonrealestate.com/blog/category/adrian/

This is accomplished by a method called domain forwarding.

The video below will show you how to use this method to forward a custom domain name that you might be using in your real estate marketing, to a landing page or specific page on your real estate websites.

You may have a www.FirstNameLastName.com domain name like mine that you want to point to your @Carrington agent website, or you might have a custom domain name you want to use in a newsletter, or a postcard, or a magazine ad, or a Craigslist ad, etc., and you want prospects to be redirected to your lead capture landing page or your real estate website.

The example below is a domain registered with GoDaddy, but the steps are very similar with most all other domain registrars.

If you have a question or comment, please post it at the bottom of this page.

This is part 1 of the domain forwarding training, you can catch part 2 here.
